Abstract: This study was conducted with a view to review some of the techniques used or benefit to get rid of the associated water with oil (oily waste water) by tracking the heavy elements after each stage of treatment which is done for that water, as this was done by taking advantage of the technology that was implemented by the Chinese company intheKhartoum refinery, which is located in Khartoum, 70 km away from the eastern side of the attahadyroad Atbara-Khartoum.  Samples were taken after each stage of treatment that takes place in addition to the intermediate pond that some of the stages and external pond in which water is&#xD;
thrown after treatment and then to the laboratory and prepared and get the results, through the results obtained some unexpected elements were found and the disappearance of some the expected elements are low, the study concluded the importance of the accombining water treatment unit and its function in reducing the proportions of heavy elements, which indicate that the Khartoum refinery is one of the leading and environmental friendly refineries in the field of accombining water treatment, and also recommends this to study the need for further testing with a view to the water used in agriculture and also alert workers to the seriousness of the water wastewater and the processing units until they are benefitting from the water in a safe and environmental friendly way.</description>

Abstract: The aim of this research was the determination the chemical and physical properties of the seed oil of aradib (Tamarindusindica) using  (GC/MS) .The oil was extracted  using soxhlet device with normal  hexane as solvent . The properties of seeds and the extracted oil were determined.thefinal  results of the seed components were as  follows : oil content 2.17% moisture 8.26% ash 3.25% protein 24.76%  fiber 19.14% and carbohydrates 42.42% . For the physiochemical properties of the oil were as follows : refractive index 1.46 density 0.91(g/ml) acid value 2.063 )Mg KOH/g oil(peroxide value 0.3 )Mg KOH/g oil(non saponification value 3.5 )Mg KOH/g oil(and the saponification value 224.44)Mg KOH/g oil.(And for the results of the oil analysis using the (GC/MS) device it showed the presence of saturated fatty acids 40.81% and un saturated  59.19% . The study concluded that the seed oil of aradib fruits cannot be used edible oil but it can be used in medical therapeutic, cosmetics and industries due to its acid content (linolenic acid 32.54% oleic 23.12%) at high rates .</description>

Abstract: Vitamin C or ascorbic acid is an important antioxidant for the human body, it is required to keep minerals in the reducing state, which enhances their absorption process. There are several methods for estimating ascorbic acid depends on the oxidation and reduction properties. This study was aimed to applying a simple, accurate and sensitive spectroscopic method for determination of vitamin C using potassium chromate-Diphenyl carbazide. The method is based on oxidizing ascorbic acid with a known excess amount of potassium chromate and then estimating the unreacted chromate using diphenyl carbazide and The method was applied to samples of pure ascorbic acid, orange juice. The iodine titration method was used as a reference method for comparison.  The results of the study showed that the absorption and λmax remain constant at 548 nm in the strong acidic medium, and the standard calibration curve was linear up to a concentration of 5 x 10-4 M of ascorbic acid, and the correlation coefficient r = 0.9911 and molar absorptivity was 4.11X103 l mol-1  cm-1.  Statistical analysis of practical data indicated that the method is accurate and presise and that there is no significant difference in accuracy between the tested method and the reference method and that there is no evidence of a significant difference between the two sets of results at 95% confidence interval The proposed method was successfully applied to estimating ascorbic acid in the analyzed samples and was accurate and selective .</description>

Abstract: This study aimed to measure and evaluate the quality of waste water treatment in the Medical Military Hospital in Omdurman, using some microbial ,physical and chemical indicators and tests for sample of waste water before and after treatment, Physio-chemical parameters Biological Oxygen Demand ,Chemical Oxygen Demand ,pH of water, Electric Conductivity, Total Dissolved Solid , Total Suspended Solid , Oils and Greases , the amount of Residual Chlorine , Phosphates ,and Ammonia, the use Microbiological Test are Total Account of Bacteria ,and Total Coliforms,the result showed that the values of these microbial and physiochemical parameters differ according to the sampling period in the year,the results were analyzed using the statistical variation program (ANOVA),where there is significant difference between the allowable limit and the after treatment results for the Biological Oxygen Demand ,the consumed Chemical Oxygen Demand and Phosphates and Ammonia to the Total Solids and Total Number of Bacteria and Coliform Bacteria and you find significant differences between the after treatment results and the allowabsle limit for to test Chlorine , Olis and Greases,Electrical Conductivity and Total Dissolved and Suspended substances,this study clearly demonstrate the need for adequate wastewater treatment methods before being discharged into natural water sources in order to reduce environmental risks.</description>
