|Abstract:||This study aimed to study the antibacterial effect of three oil extracts of three medicinal plants: Trigon Ella foeman, Boswellia serrata, Curcuma longa. Belonging to three different families, using the diffusion method in agar. The effect of the three extracts was tested against five bacterial species isolated medically from 50 random samples from diabetic wounds from the Zenam Specialist Hospital in Jabra, A Gram-positive Type Staphylococcus aurous, and Gram-negative types Escherichia coli، Pseudomonas aeruginosa، Proteus vulgaris ، and Klebsilla pneumonia. It was found that all the extracts showed efficacy against one or more of the tested bacterial species, in addition to having an inhibitory effect for some of these types in high concentrations for these oil extracts used. E. Coli was the most sensitive to oily extracts, while Klebsilla was the most resistant to these oily extracts. The rest of the species showed a moderate sensitivity for these oily extracts used. This study also showed high inhibitory efficacy of oil extract of Curcum roots at 100%concentration against E. coli, moderate inhibitory activity against S. aureus, P. aeruginosa, and Portus. A weak inhibition against Klebsilla. While the results showed a moderate inhibitory activity for the oil extract of Boswellia gum in all bacterial species except for Klebsilla as it showed weak inhibitory activity at concentration 100%. The results also showed a weak inhibitory activity of the Fenugreek seeds oil extract for all bacterial species except for E. coli, which showed a moderate inhibitory activity at a concentration 100%. The oil extract of Curcum roots gave the highest inhibitory activity, while the oil extract of the Fenugreek seeds gave the weakest inhibitory activity. The study recommends that, the antibacterial activity to isolate the active ingredients from the extracts of Boswellia serrata, Curcuma longa responsible for the antibacterial activity and to study the toxicity of these active ingredients and use them in appropriate concentrations. فهرست المحتويات|
