|Abstract:||This study aimed to identify the reasons for the content of the English subject of the third grade basic level ، Identification of difficulties that have led to low English language attainment by third grade pupils at the basic level on the pupils side، Identification of difficulties that led to low achievement in third grade English as a core teacher subject، Identification of teaching methods of English subject in third grade basic level ، Disclosure of the quality of methods used in teaching English in third grade basic level. To achieve these objectives the resercher followed the descriptive method and used questionnaire as a tool for study ,community of research includes (55) English language s from the Al,azhari unit –Jebel awliya locality Khartoum state , applied to the random sample of (30) teacher .They have been statistically processed by set of bundled statistical group. The study has reached to the following conclusions:- Appropriate school content For third graders pupils at the basic level. - Overcrowding in the classroom and Lock of opportunity of practice English outside the classroom. - Most teachers are untrained in English teaching method. - Underuse of modern techniques in teaching English. - Unsatisfactory provision of teaching materials. The study concluded some recommendations which are:- - Improvement of the classroom environment. - Encouraging and motivating students to practice English language activities. - Training of teachers in the modern teaching methods. - Provision of teaching aids.|
