Abstract: The aim of this research is to identify the effect of computer use on academic achievement in the basic mathematics course. The researcher followed the descriptive approach, and used the questionnaire as a tool to collect information from the research sample of (48) male and female teachers who were randomly selected from the research community. After collecting the data, it was unloaded into the SPSS program and analyzed. Arithmetic averages and (t) test were used for one sample to verify the research hypotheses. The researcher reached a number of results: 1- There is a positive relationship between the use of computers in teaching mathematics and academic achievement. 2- The material capabilities and training on the use of computers affect the teaching of mathematics. 3- The school environment affects the use of the computer in it. 4- The pupil’s gender factor affects his comprehension of the subject of mathematics, and the result showed that the pupils are more comprehensible to the material from the teachers ’viewpoint. The researcher made a number of recommendations, 1- Providing computers in schools to be used in teaching mathematics. 2- Holding training courses for teachers on the use of computers and the new technology in the field of teaching. 3- Holding training courses for teachers to provide them with the renewable competencies necessary for a mathematics teacher. 4- The school administration shall take care to encourage teachers to cooperate with each other and exchange advice and guidance to develop their teaching competencies and develop their performance.
