Abstract: This research aims to identify the scientific foundations followed by the Public Relations Department in planning, designing and implementing successful media campaigns aimed at achieving environmental awareness, guidance and educating, and measuring their effectiveness in contributing to the promotion and support of environmental cleanness activities and programs ..., and to achieve this the study sought to answer a set of questions, the most important of which are : _ How to design, implement and plan media campaigns in accordance with scientific foundations, to ensure their success in achieving environmental awareness. The researcher used the descriptive method and its analytical method, which includes the study of current facts related to the nature of a phenomenon, situation, or group of people. To collect information on a group, the questionnaire sheet was used as a main tool, with the use of the two tools ,scientific observation and scientific interview as helping tools. The study relied on selecting sample method, and the selection was stratified sample which the different status in the society should be represented The Study included in its theoretical and applied framework four chapters, and after studying , analyzing and interoperating , the study came out with many results, the most important of which are the following: The study confirmed that, one of the most important features of the successful Media campaign influence it altered the attitude. The study was confirmed in campaigns about the importance of environmental cleanness contributed in reducing the spread of the diseases. The study come out with many recommendations, the most important of which are the following: Intensifying awareness campaigns through mass media, and expanding radio and TV broadcasting to rural communities . Increase the state's interest in the environment matter by financing and funding environmental awareness programs, and issuing rules that protect the environment . Increasing training opportunities for qualified cadres, internally and externally .
