Abstract: A research submitted to obtain a master’s degree in media entitled: Strategies of public relations management plans and their role in crisis management “in application to the Civil Aviation Authority for the period 2016-2019” Prepared by: doha Ali Obied Sharf Eldeen da7585267@gmail.com The study dealt with achieving a main goal that depends on renewing the procedures that must be available in institutions and public relations departments during planning and preparing to manage the crisis that may face institutions, these procedures are the elements of strategic planning in crisis management, and it includes the provision of basic material and human needs, and these basic components make institutions ready to face crises that occur in the future, institution must also be prepared and aware of what is being implemented in periods of crisis management. The methodology of this study is based on the descriptive analytical method. This research contains a number of chapters: chapter one : methodological framework, chapter two : the basic principles of public relations, chapter three : the crisis strategy, chapter four: the field study, The questionnaire was used as a means of collecting information, also questionnaire was distributed to a number of (30) people, and the data was analyzed using the (SPSS) program. The most important results of this study are as follows: employees of the authority are fully aware of the nature of public relations and that public relations have a role in improving the mental image of the institutions related to the authority. The most important recommendations of this study are: that the public relations department needs a professional and specialized, and it is necessary to promote and raise the efficiency of the employees of the institution by setting up training programs.
