|Abstract:||The Extent to Which University Students Can Master Spelling Skills (Faculty of Education and Applied Sciences, Raimha, as an Example). Prepared by: Dr. Abdo Ali Mohammad Al-Hittari, Associate Professor at Hodeidah University. Summary of the research: The research aimed to prepare a list of the most important spelling skills that university students should master.And to reveal the extent of students' mastery of the Faculty of Education and Applied Sciences with respect to those skills, and to develop solutions and proposals in light of the results that will emerge. The researcher used the descriptive method that describes and explains the reality that universities are currently experiencing. The test was the tool used to achieve the purpose of the research. The researcher used a number of statistical treatments such as arithmetic averages, percentages, standard deviation, and Mann and Tenny test to determine the differences between students' answer. Research sought to verify the following hypotheses : students of the Faculty of Education and Applied Sciences- Rainah are masterig the spelling skills with a grade of good.There are no statistically significant differences in mastery of spelling skills attributed to gender. There are no statistically significant differences in mastery of spelling skills attributed to the specialization variable. The importance of research was to: clarify the reality of students of the Faculty of Education and Applied Sciences-Raimah in a mastery of spelling skills; To inform the faculty in general and academic affairs in particular of the realities of students in their mastery of spelling skills; So they can develop and put in the right treatments.The research community here is the students of the Faculty of Education and Applied Sciences-Raimah, in all its departments and levels, and a representative sample was selected from five of them. The research produced a number of findings, through the theoretical framework: multiple dictation skills, and the importance of students' knowledge and mastery of those skills.The poor reality of students in many countries in this important subject, which raises students to taste and love beauty. And through the test: Students in the Faculty of Education and Applied Sciences have little access to those skills; The test pass was 26%.There are no statistically significant differences in mastery of spelling skills attributed to the gender variable, whereas they are found for the specialty variable. The researcher recommends: Paying attention to the dictation course, preparating a course containing those skills, and receiving that course by college students; Requiring the teaching staff in all departments in general, and in the Arabic Language Department in particular, to follow up the students in improving their handwriting and their adherence to dictation rules;|
