|Abstract:||This study dealt with the subject of Ibn Taymiyyah’s views on increasing and decreasing faith through his book Al-Fatawa, and it aims to explain the meaning of faith and its increase and decrease among the Sunnis, and to clarify the issue of increasing and decreasing faith with Ibn Taymiyyah and mention its evidence for that, and to explain what Ibn Taymiyyah is unique in in mentioning the aspects of increasing faith And we decrease it. The problem of the research became apparent when confusion and confusion occurred, and many people began to think that faith is one thing that is indivisible and does not change. The vision becomes clear so that the truth is not confused with falsehood. The study followed the general historical and descriptive analytical approach, and the study reached a number of results and recommendations, the most important of which are: The belief of Imam Taqi al-Din Ibn Taymiyyah is that faith increases, decreases, weakens and strengthens, and this is one of the principles of the Sunnis, and they have innumerable evidence for this from the Qur’an and Sunnah and the sayings of the ancestors of the nation, and they are clear, clear and strong evidence, and that increasing faith has reasons, the most important of which is learning useful knowledge and working with it and ways Its various chapters include reading the Qur’an and contemplating it, learning about God Almighty and knowing His Beautiful Names and Attributes of the Most High. Great to increase and strengthen faith As for the recommendations, the most important of them are paying attention to forensic science and working with it, for it is, by God, a great chapter of goodness|
