Abstract: This research dealt the role of the industrial sector in the economic development of the Sudan cananah sugar case research from 2011-2019 the research amid to know the contribution of the industrial sector to the GDP identify the policies taken by government to protect national production, identify performance constraints in the industrial sector the problem of the research the deterioration of many economic sectors in the Sudan, including the industrial sector tested several assignments besides the main one the research and the one there is a relationship between industrial productivity and GDP government policies have a role to play in industrial productivity there are obstacles to the industrial sector playing it’s role the research there searcher used both the analytical descriptive approach and the historical approach the research and hypothesis analysis showed the most important results the attention to the industrial sector reduces imports, the migration of labor and lack of technical expertise led to the deterioration of production security and political in stability lack of awareness of development issues and illiteracy are obstacles to economic development through field research the researcher recommended the most important recommendations: The government should issue policies that raise the productivity of the industrial sector industrial exports must be developed the necessity of working to solve the obstacles to economic development.
