Abstract: The research aimed to achieve an understanding of the relationship between psychological adjustment or compatibility with academic excellence, and identifying the characteristics of psychological adjustment among the outstanding Chadian students at the International University of Africa (IUA); likewise, the study aimed to clarify the differences between the academic outstanding students in first year and fourth year with excelling level of psychological adjustment; and finally to find out the difference between males and females academic outstanding students in the level of psychological adjustment (compatibility). The researcher used descriptive approach accompanied with questionnaire as the research tool. The research population was (412) Chadian students (males and females) at the international University of Africa in the academic year (2019-2020); due to lack of homogeneity of research population especially in terms of academic level, educational attainment and the research topic tension of the academic excellence phenomena, the researcher used purposive sampling approach whereby he targeted the academic outstanding students in 2nd and 4th year, who make the total sample of (65) students, due to the existence of the hypothesis that dealt with the comparison between them, therefore they represent approximately 15% of the research population, and the researcher chose the outstanding students with excellent and very good in academic years of (2019/2020) as the criteria. In the light of the research objectives, hypotheses and through field study, the data were collected and analyzed through SPSS (Statistical Packaged for Social Science), and the following findings were reached: there is a positive relationship (correlation) between psychological adjustment (compatibility) and academic excellence among the Chadian students at the International University of Africa; the psychological adjustment (compatibility) of the outstanding Chadian student at the International University of Africa is high; there are differences in the level of psychological compatibility among the outstanding Chadian students at the International University of Africa in relation to academic year variable (1st and 4th), in favor of 4th year students, however the research showed no difference in the level of psychological compatibility of the outstanding students in relation to gender variable (male and female). In the light of these results, the researcher recommended the following: those responsible for students affairs should provide them with necessary care in general and take care of the outstanding students in particular in order to maintain the educational level of students and advance for the better with the focus of developing the educational process and advance the society.
