Abstract: The research aimed to identify the problems facing the teaching of Arabic language in Secondary Schools in Somalia, (Province of Banadir) . The researcher also aim of proposing solutions to these problems. The researcher applied the descriptive method and used questionnaire as a tool to collect information. The population consists of 174 male and female teachers, of which (60) and chosen randomly to represent the population. The statistical treatment was done by using the SPSS Statistical Package Program, using the (T) test for averages, The research came to the following results: There are several aspects of deficiencies related to the teacher. The most important of these is the insufficient qualification of a large number of teachers, together the lack of training other drtkalg are revaluation curriculum such as rack of reliance to the needs and capabilities of high school students, there with lack of connection with the local environment, which negatively affects students’ achievement. Also the weak cooperation between Arabic teachers and teachers of other subjects, the inability of teachers to educational content of Arabic language skills, and the weak exchange of practical experiences between Arabic language teachers themselves. The study included several recommendations, namely holding continuous training courses for teachers to increase their educational competencies. and reviewing the content of the Arabic language course in order to be appropriate for the students' environment. The use of modern teaching methods and educational methods in teaching Arabic.
