Abstract: The study deals with “the evaluation of the syllabus of Islamic education of the first year-basic level in the view point of teachers- )in Mogadishu- Holodag locality) The research aims at showing the extent of the suitability of the objectives of the syllabus of Islamic education for first year in the republic of Somalia to the abilities of the public in the locality of Holodag, alone with analyzing its content Also to know the effectuality of the teaching methods, and the kinds of teaching aids used, and the extent of their suitability of the content of this syllabus, the research also aims at the methods of evaluation adopted by the teachers of Islamic education in teaching this syllabus. The proplem of research is: the phenomenon of the low students grades, and the following main questions is: how can the Islamic education syllabus in Somalia be evaluated to address the phenomenon of declining academic achievement? The research used the descriptive analytical method, the tool of collecting the information was the questionnaires, the research included )150( teachers (male and female) as the research group, the sample was randomly selected, and the numbers of the sample was )30(. After the statistical teaching the researcher reached results most important of which are: That the objectives of the syllabus of Islamic education comprised the cognitive emotional and behavioural aspects in a balanced way and that the content of the syllabus has attractive images suitably for the environment of the pupils; also the teaching methods used increase their experience and care. The use the teaching methods that take into consideration the individual differences between their pupils, along with the fact that the syllabus of Islamic education includes evolutional question at the end of each lesson. The study recommends the following: The necessity of the continuous training of teachers and qualifying them to teach the syllabus of Islamic education, and revising the curricula to keep peace with development along with endeavoring to form a co-operative relation between the schools of Somalia in general to set the syllabus of Islamic education.
