Abstract: The aim of this research was to evaluate the electronic exams, adopted recently by the International University of Africa, to determine its advantages and disadvantages, as viewed by students and some faculty members. The researcher followed the descriptive analytical method, using the questionnaire and interviews as instruments. Analysis of data was carried out using SPSS. The most important advantages of these exams can be represented in their use, sufficiency of time for answers reduction of the possibility of fraud, impartiality of marking, comprehensiveness of covering the syllabus, and that their results are known immediately after finishing the exam. As for the drawbacks, the electronic exams do not measure properly both mental and physical skills. They also do not measure the abilities of expression and analytical thinking. Furthermore, the study revealed significant differences between the views of students according to the rank of semester; students in the last semesters showed more negative views towards electronic exams. Similarly, the point of view of science students was more negative regarding electronic exams, than students in the literary classes. Based on the above results, the researcher recommends the conduction of more studies involving faculty members to evaluate fully all aspects of electronic exams, with the view to identify their advantages and disadvantages to address them accordingly. Faculty members should be trained in the skills of setting proper electronic exams. Intensive efforts should be exerted to establish banks of exams questions for different subjects. More attention should be paid to stabilize the power supply and electronic networks during the exams period.
