Abstract: Abstract The study aimed to identify the teaching competencies of Islamic education teachers at the secondary level in East El-Nil locality, Umm Dhawan unit. Study population: Islamic education teachers, and the sample consisted of (25) male and female teachers. The researcher used the descriptive approach and the questionnaire to collect information. The study found the following results: Academic competencies are available in a medium degree, and competencies for lesson planning and implementation are available in medium degree, classroom management competencies are available in a weak degree, assessment competencies do not achieve the objectives of the lesson. Among the most important recommendations of the study: To delve deeper into Islamic studies and intonation, participate in training courses and use modern technologies, and obligate all teachers to prepare well for the lesson and ensure that the appropriate climate is created in the classroom.
