|Abstract:||This research aimed at identifying the strategic management and its impact on performance improvement, and also studying the inpact of strategic analysis on performance improvement, as well as clarifying the role played by formulating and implementing the strategy, and highlighting the role of the strategic supervision in improving performance. The research problem addressed that the higher administration of business organisations faces many challenges represented in keeping pace with the surrounding environment of the organization, which is characterized by continuous change and rapid technical and technological development, in addition to the strong competition, which necessitates the administrations of these companies to adopt a strategic management method to ensure improving their performance. The research tested the following hypotheses: There is astatistically significant relationship between strategic analysis and performance improvement. There is astatistically significant relationship between strategy formulation and performance improvement. There is astatistically significant relationship between implementing the strategy and performance improvement. There is astatistically significant relationship between strategic supervision and performance improvement. The research followed the descriptive analytical method as well as the case study method. The research revealed a number of results: the most important results are as follows: implementing strategic management leads to improvement in performance. Following clear policies assist workers in accomplishing their tasks. Consolidating a culture of work teams would contribute to implementing the strategies according to the predetermined plans. The research concluded a number of recommendations, such as: working to find an effective and on-going strategic information system to collect and analyse data related to the surrounding external environment. Creating continuous programs for developing and training higher leaders and employees in preparing effective strategies for the university administration. as well as the need for the university to strive to attract and recruit competent cadres from human resources in order to promote its performance.|
