Abstract: The aim of the research is to find out the effect of public spending on GDP in Sudan during the period (2011-2019). The problem of this study lies in the impact of the increase in public spending and the impact of that spending on GDP. The study assumed a direct relationship between public spending and GDP, as There is a direct relationship between GDP and the service sector, and there is a weak inverse relationship between investment and public spending. From the practical side, it gives a look at the effects of the spending policy applied on the GDP during the period (2011-2019). The study reached several results, the most important of which is the existence of a direct statistically significant relationship between public spending and GDP, and the existence of a direct statistically significant relationship The study proved that there is a weak inverse relationship between investment and public spending and is consistent with the reality of economic theory. The study recommends paying attention to the gross domestic product to increase productivity and production, in order to meet the challenges and difficult circumstances, and to develop policies and proposals to address inflation at the local level in the short and long term, and to follow a policy of self-sufficiency in basic commodities and reduce imported commodities.
