Abstract: The effectiveness of public relations in managing educational crises (a descriptive and analytical study by application on the Ministry of Education, Khartoum State, in the period from (2017 to 2021) Submitted by the student: Taqwa Abdul Qadir Ali Under the supervision of Dr.: Abbas Abkar Mohamed Ahmed Research presented to obtain a master’s degree in media, specializing in public relations and advertising. The study aimed to identify the objectives of public relations in the Ministry of Education, and to know the position of the Public Relations Department in the organizational structure of the Ministry of Education, and to identify the plans and programs carried out by the Public Relations Department to manage educational crises. Knowing the difficulties and obstacles facing the Public Relations Department in implementing those plans and programmes, identifying the top management’s view of the Public Relations Department, and disclosing the features of the PR budget, whether it is sufficient to implement public relations programs and objectives. The researcher used the descriptive approach and the method of analysis in order to collect information, analyze it, interpret it and draw conclusions. The researcher also used the questionnaire as a research performance. This study was divided into four chapters, the first chapter being the methodological framework; The second chapter contains the concept, objectives, and foundations of organizing public relations, in which there are three sections. The third chapter, Public Relations and Crisis Management, contains three sections. The fourth chapter includes the applied study, the conclusion, the results, recommendations and supplements. The study concluded a number of results, the most important of which are: The research also reached recommendations, the most important of which are:. The study revealed that public relations derive its objectives in accordance with the general plan and objectives of the ministry, and the study confirmed that public relations coordinate with relevant institutions in programs and activities, and the study showed that public relations provide workers with information and data. The study also recommends activating the role played by public relations in educational institutions, and the study recommended the establishment of activities and programs used by public relations to contain educational crises.
