The problem of the study was that economic television programs are poorly addressed in the areas of economic development by explanation and analysis, even The television treatment of these programs did not concern itself with an appropriate presentation style, especially since development cannot complete its episodes except by increasing the degree of awareness among the masses and convincing them of its importance. The study aimed to shed light on economic issues and their importance in achieving development, to examine television programs with their negatives and positives in general and economic programs in particular, to know the methods that were presented and identify the human cadre working in economic programs on television. The researcher used in this study the descriptive analytical method. The study reached several results, the most important of which is that the content of the economic event program highlights important economic issues in Sudan, as well as the idea of the program commensurate with the reality experienced by the public. The study came out with several recommendations, including: increasing the areas of economic programs on television, providing the ingredients for producing economic programs on television, and working to overcome difficulties and obstacles so that television plays its active role in economic development

البرامج التلفزيونية ودورها في تعزيز ثقافة السلام: دراسة وصفية تحليلية بالتطبيق على برنامج حديث الوحدة والسلام بقناة الشروق الفضائية خلال الفترة 2015 – 2017م منى شمس الدين بلال الأمين This research is entitled" Television Programs and their Role in Promoting the Culture of Peace- a descriptive and analytical study of the application of the programme" Speech on Unity and peace" at Al-Shoroug Satellite Channel (2015-2017). The importance of the study stems from the importance of satellite channels and the role they play towards peace issues. The research also aimed to get acquainted with the media message, and the strategy of Al-Shoroug Channel towards promoting the culture of peace through "the Speech on Unity and Peace" program. To achieve these goals, the researcher adopted the descriptive analytical methodology, in addition to the historical methodology. The problem of the study lied in the main question: What role does Al-Shoroug channel play through" the Speech on Unity and Peace" program, in promoting a culture of peace? The researcher used the survey tool as a data collection tool. The data was statistically processed by the computer program “The Statistical Package for Social Sciences” (SPSS version 16). The study reached to several findings, the most important of which: that the unity and peace program has an impact in realizing the goals of the channel, the environment of political tyranny and intolerance in Sudanese society, the channel has achieved media leadership on The Sudanese level and distinction at the regional level, and that government funding has kept the channel away from implementing its strategy as planned. The study recommended paying attention to peace culture programs in terms of preparation and presentation. And attention should be paid to programs that affect the security of the Sudanese citizen and address his problems. The channel should pay attention to its internal policy and accompany abundance in the offers presented to its customers. And interest in giving information and facts to the entire public and impartiality towards higher authorities, and that the channel should follow the policy of independence and impartiality.

The significance of the research according to the researcher's view, lies in the fact that it deals with a topic that has not been addressed before, which is the subject of raising awareness of human rights and freedoms in terms of media. The aim of this research is to know the objectives of the Al- Jazeera satellite channel and its editorial policy, and to know the general rights and freedoms of opinion covered by the channel. The researcher used the descriptive and analytical methods. The problem was summed up in the effectiveness of television programmes and the role of these programmes in raising awareness of human rights issues and fundamental freedoms in societies described as democratic systems, plus the weak awareness of these rights. The researcher used the research community, which included a sample of experts, media people, and specialists in the fields of law, politics, and human rights organizations. The researcher reached a number of results, among which the most important are: Al-Jazeera satellite channel was a forerunner in the level of Arab TV channels in its handling of human rights issues.
