أثر الحدود الجغرافية في علاقات السودان بدولة تشاد : دراسة في الجغرافيا السياسية (خلال الفترة من 1956م – 2009م)

Abstract

This research investigates the impact of the international boundaries on the relations between Sudan and Chad, which has, through decades; swing led between concord and conflict, and has caused tension between the two states. This was the result of factors related to the political and security situation in both countries; in addition to the social factor resulting from the tribal interpenetration across the borders. To realize the aims of the research, the researcher used a number of tools to obtain data. These include interviewing legal personalities and establishments; reviewing a number of studies, reports and books related to the topic. The researchers’ findings can be summarized in the following: The borders between the two countries witnessed cases of tension caused by the rebel movements on both sides, exploiting the fact that they belong to tribes that extend over the borders in spite of the borders’ demarcation. As a solution for this situation , the researcher suggests an endeavor towards stability in these areas on both sides through a joint effort ; working to affect a smooth contact between the groups that have blood or religious relations or natural interests , under joint security precautions as is taking place now among Sudan , Chad and Central Africa.
