Abstract

This research dealt with the impact of the overall quality on the engineering project management- applying the on industrial Alshajara Industrial Complex (formerly Ammunition) The research problem lied in that the overall quality application in some contemporary institutions, is below the required level, this may be due to the fact that these institutions do not keep track of effective systems in the application overall quality, and may be that they do not develop a strategic plan in the process of overall quality , or they do not apply in accordance with the plans, which had a negative impact on the engineering project management. The research aimed to determine the effect of effective systems in the overall quality, to achieve the application of engineering project objectives properly, as well as the extent of the impact of a strategic plan in the process of overall quality on the proper engineering project management, and also to highlight the role that the overall quality can play in the application in accordance with the plans, to improve the competitive position of enterprises. The research hypotheses were based on that adopting effective systems in the overall quality of the application, leads to the achievement of engineering projects goals as required, as well as that developing a strategic plan in the process of overall quality of the application, leads to proper manner in the management of the engineering project. The research adopted the historical, the descriptive and the analytical methodology and the case study. The research reached to a number of findings, including: that the application of comprehensive quality system in the complex, led to the development of the administrative system, as well as that the selection of professionals in the complex, commensurate with the quality and application requirements, and also that the application of the overall quality in the compound led to increased market share of products. The research concluded with a number of recommendations, including: to continue the application of the quality system in all administrative areas, as well as the need to detail management processes clearly during developing the strategic plan, taking into account the application of overall quality , and also it is important to choose workers who commensurate with the quality requirements.
