دور المنظمات الطوعية في تنمية المجتمع: دراسة حالة هيئة الدعوة الإسلامية للفترة من 2010م-2015م مدينة هرجيسا - أرض الصومال

Abstract

The objectives of this research are to shed light on the role of voluntary organizations in the development of the society and to identify the segments of the society in terms of priority assistance and reduce human suffering. The problem statement focuses on introducing the voluntary organizations in the development of society and the role it plays in the development of the society to achieve self-sufficiency. Descriptive approach was used as one of the most important scientific methodology for the study of Humanities, and also information was gathered from books, thesis, and Internet sites. The study composed of three main chapters where the first chapter deals with research plan (methodology) and previous studies, the second chapter focused on the concept of community development and related community strategies and the third chapter the role of the Islamic Dawa (propagation) organization in providing humanitarian services, whether to provide aid and emergency assistance to the community in cases of emergency or educational and propagation services. Through the study the researcher reached the following findings and recommendations: The findings are as follows: The priority of the organization is to take the advantage of the available means in order to reach sustainable development especially in marginalized areas. Recommendations are as follows: Encouraging development institution programs, whether educational, missionary and increasing health centers in the states, working with modern facilities to suit the contemporary and to focus on helping the less fortuned(poorest) in the community, the need for paying great attention to rural areas and to provide an a conducive environment for education.
