Abstract
This study deals with the subject of creativity and innovation and its role in the development of small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in the period (2007-2013).
The methodology followed was the descriptive analytical and the case study method.
The study has been evaluated from different aspects based on the previous studies such as the change in business organizations, the Malaysian experience model and the SMEs and their role in the development process.
The research problem is that the decision makers in various companies especially in developing countries don’t consider the creativity and innovation issues, though they are considered one of the most required criteria for competition in the world of business.
The researches Hypotheses are that creativity and innovation are the main tools for the development of SMEs.
One of the main findings of this study is that the human oriented reflection creativity and excellence in their employees. The study also recommend that the enterprises put the policies of creativity and innovation as a main part of the overall strategy, and increase the expenditure in R&D and to reach technology innovation.
The study includes four chapters; the first chapter constitutes the general framework for the search. The second chapter discusses the concept of creativity and innovation, while the third one deals with the concept of small and medium enterprises. As for the fourth, it presents the field work of the research.
