The Role of Youth in Da’wah: Kaduna – Nigeria (2000 – 2015)

Abstract

إن حاجتنا إلى البحث العلمي الٍاجتماعي لتحليل ظروف حياتنا أمر لا محيص منه. وإن الفهم الصحيح السليم للإسلام ذلك الفهم القائم على إتباع هدي السلف الصالح وممارساتهم لأمر مهم لنا في قارتنا الإفريقية جميعاً، وفي مجتمعنا النيجيري بصفة خاصة. وإن نهوض وانتشار واشتهار جماعات التطرف الديني التي من بينها جماعات الجهاد التي تدعي بانتسابها للجهاد والدعوة لمؤثر خطير على أن مجتمعاتنا موبوئة بالتزمّت والفهم المغلوط للأمور وهو الأمر الذي يؤدي للتفرقة وإلى أنشطة راديكالية تثير الٍاضطراب، ليس فقط في مجتمعنا النيجيري وإنما في كثير من أقطار أفريقيا جنوب الصحراء، وخاصة في الأقطار المجاورة لنا مثل بنين والكاميرون وتشاد والنيجر. ولهذا أصبح من الواجب على الأفراد المفكرين وعلى السلطات المسؤولية أن تدعم مجهودات الوعي والترشيد عبر التدريب العلمي وترقية مستوى البحث المهتم بمثل هذه الأمور بمؤسسات التعليم العالي، وذلك حتى يسهموا في بحث التعاليم الإسلامية. هذا البحث يطمح إلى أن يسهم في ترشيد حركة الشباب المسلم في منطقة كادونا بدولة نيجيريا، ويهدف البحث خصيصًا إلى تنقية أذهان الشباب كادونا وتنقية أرواحهم، وإلى تبصيرهم بمفاهيم كبرى في مجال القيادة والسياسة والاقتصاد والكثافة السكانية للبلاد وفي النهاية أو الختام إلى تقوية النسيج الاجتماعي للبلاد. في اعتقادي، أنه بدون إنعام الفهم بمثل هذه المسائل المهمة الدقيقة في الوقت نفسه لا يمكن تحصين حركة الشباب المسلم خصوصاً في كادونا فضلًا عن نقلها إلى سائر الآفاق أرقى في مجالات العمل الإسلامي في المستقبل.

The need for such a research at present situation, cannot be over emphasized. clear understanding of Islam by sustaining an orthodox call to its practice is of paramount importance and valuable benefit to all continents, especially the Nigerian society. The rise and gain of prominence by various sects is a clear indication that the society is terribly infected with dogmatism, which becomes heretical, divisive and indication of hyper-activity in promoting conflicts, not only in Nigeria but in African sub Saharan regions, particularly the immediate neighbouring republics of Benin, Cameroun, Chad and Niger. It is incumbent on all right–thinking individual and authorities concerned, to advance enlightenment through regular trainings. Thereby improving all levels of research at higher institutions which counteract the menace that defaced the true picture of Islamic values. It is my sincere hope that this research will improve the capacity of youth groups in providing an enhanced evangelic effectiveness in their field of work. Arriving at this hypothetical projection is hoped to protect or sanitize the mentality of youth. Research hoped to come out with a better understanding over complex issues surrounding the sensitive areas such as: leadership, Jihad, politics, economics and demography, which they promote societal integration. Without sound understanding of this delicate phenomenon from youth groups in Kaduna – Nigeria in particular and other nations in general. Such transform into classical Malthusian cases of negativity that may result to retardation of future generations.
