dc.description.abstract This study deals with religious sectarian groups in Yemen during the period [1912-1986] and its impact on social security. It includes six chapters. It aims in clarifying the impact of religious groups on social security in Yemen, their attitude towards power, and its impact on the history of Yemen during the study period. Methodology: The research used the descriptive analytical approach. Many themes have bean used in this study such as politics, sociology and history, which affected the social situation of modern Yemen. The main question of this study is the impact of religious groups on social security in Yemen. The political conflict in Yemen began since the emergence of Isma'ili and Zaidi thought because of their ruling theory, which is based on the imamate as one of the origins of the Islamic religion. This conflict escalated even more during the eras of imams and republics two decades the imams and republics. The study also reviews the stages of the development of religious of the thought of the Ibadi, Zaidiyah, Ismailia and Sunni groups The study Results: :By the end of the study it became clear that • The religious sectarian groups that emerged (1912-1986) seek to monopolize power according to their vision of governance through two theories: Imamate among Shiites, and succession by Sunnis. • The Yemeni citizen is proud to belong to the tribe and the clan more than being proud for his homeland, so the concept of citizenship has no roots in his soul. • Religious discourse must be in the hands of the state institutions and its jurisdiction. In conclusion we recommend that there should be further research by specialists on peace in Yemen and an examination of the Yemeni history . en_US
