dc.description.abstract The study was conducted in the state of Khartoum, Sudan. It aims to identify the role of mass media campaigns to educate citizens the seriousness of polio and reduce the rate of injuries and so by urging citizens to demand for vaccination campaigns and thus eradicate the disease from Sudan. Follow the researcher descriptive approach and used a questionnaire and interview data and field study lasted three months. Find were divided into four chapters: Chapter One: the methodological framework Chapter II: media campaigns. Chapter III: Target immunization childhood diseases. Chapter IV: The field study. The most important findings of the study: 1. emphasize that media campaigns have a significant and effective role in the eradication of polio from Sudan, where the proportion who sought vaccination campaigns is different media 100%. 2. emphasize the importance of mass communication "radio and television" in the citizen awareness and educate health. 3. study proved that there is an advantage to announce the vaccination campaigns through loudspeakers vehicle that roam the neighborhoods. 4. The most important difficulties faced by the citizen to receive vaccination for children is congestion health centers Btalpin immunization service. en_US
