Abstract

This research deals with the effect ofthe public expenditure policy on economic growth for the period from 2005 to 2013. The research problem represented in how to use public expenditure to achieve the Economic Development, but public expenditure in developing countries does not meet there acquirement of Economic Development and that public expenditures mostly oriented about the basic needs of the state,and what is the impact of public spending on economic growth rate. The research was based on several hypotheses, the most important: the existence of a positive correlation relationship between Public Expenditure and the rate of economic growth. The importance of this research in highlighting the important role that the state plays in improving the economic activity and also gave a look on the impact of Public Expenditure policy on economic growth rates. The research aimed to clarify the effectiveness of the state in improving economic activity and to highlight the importance of economic growth as an indicator reflects the economic conditions prevailing. The research used descriptive historical method and statistical analysis by Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS) program. The most important findings of the research a relationship inverse correlation between public expenditure and economic growth rates, this means increased public spending lead to reduced growth rates. The research recommended that must take the necessary measures to control and rationalize public expenditure, and directed towards the productive sectors and set clear sect oral strategies for the goals in accordance with the priorities.
