Abstract

This research aims to find out the relationship between certain psychopathic personalityTraits and the Emotional balanceamong Prisonersin Khartoum State.The researcher used the descriptive correlation method. The research sample consistsof (271) prisoners (255) malesand (16) females from prison :( Al-Huda, Dar- al Taybat women prison- Omdurman, and National prison-Bahari,) who are selected through random Sampling technique. The tools of data collection consists of the psychopathic personality scale which taken from the Minnesotamultiple Personality Test (MMPI) of, Luis Kamil Milika (prepared by Attia Mohamed Mohanna and Mohamed Emad El Din Ismail) modified by the researcher, and the emotional balance scales by Muhaid Mohammed Al MutawkilandShadia Othman, modified by the researcher. The data analyzed by the Computer Applying the Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS) using the following Tests: (T) Test for one sample, Pearson correlation Coefficient, (Man Whitney) test for two independent samples, and the Crocsal wells test for differences in variable (gender, age, Level of education, social status, imprisonment period , number of times of imprisonment, crime committed).The important results are as follows: The general trait of Pcychopathic personality among theprisonersin Khartoum State is characterized by moderate. There ispositive significant correlation coefficient between thepsychopathic personality Traits and the emotional balanceamong theprisoners in Khartoum State in all dimensions. There areStatistical Significant differences in thepsychopathic personality Traits among theprisoners in Khartoum Stateaccording to the gender variable in favor offemales. Thereare no Statistical Significant differencesin the psychopathic personality Traits amongthe prisonersin Khartoum State according to theage variable. There are Statistical Significant differences in thepsychopathic personality Traits among the prisoners in Khartoum State according to educational level variable in favor of khalwa. There are Statistical Significant differencesin thePcychopathic personality Traits among the prisoners in Khartoum State according to the variable ofsocial status in favor of thedivorce. There are Statistical Significant differences in the psychopathic personality Traits among the prisoners in Khartoum State according to length of imprisonment for less than one year. There areStatistical Significant differences in the psychopathic personality Traits among the prisoners in Khartoum State according to the variable number of times to enter prison more than once. There areStatistical Significant differences in the psychopathic personality Traits among the prisoners in the Khartoum State according to the variable of crime for the crime of stealing.Finally, recommendations such as the effectiveness of counseling and religious programs among prisoners to solve their psychological behavioral andemotional problems. The researcher Suggest tostudy the effectiveness of Cognitive counseling behavioral program to improve the level of Mental Health and the self concept among prisoners in Khartoum or other States in Sudan, also references were Cited at the end of the research.
