Abstract

This study is dealing with the relationship between image and connect. The researcher is presenting this relationship with consideration of image as a cultural form, and incorporates the importance of the image for institution, corporation, and states. However, the study will discuss how to improve the image through communication. The Researcher will discuss the communication program of the general relation department in the Traffic Police of Khartoum State with emphasize on its support to improve the needed image mentality of the members of the Traffic Police. This study also will present some practical application and field programs of the General Relation Department of the Traffic Police in Khartoum state in order to instruct a better image. This study is aimed to look at the principles in general relation work in supporting the image; however the main objectives of the study can be summarized in the followings: 1- To identify the nature of the general relation work in supporting the image of the Traffic Police audience. 2- To identify the administrative efforts that have been achieved by the general relation department of Khartoum State Traffic police to create a good image of the traffic police man. 3- To make use of the general relation departments in the traffic police to support the image of the traffic police man. 4- To make a use of the academic practices in general relation to find out an ideal image for the traffic police man. 5- To identify procedure to improve the planning to support the image of the traffic police man. This study is considered as a descriptive study based on survey, which is a systematic scientific effort to gather information on all subjects associated with the research topic and its community. The researcher used questioners and interviews as methods for collecting data, that together with selection of random samples. The study is focused mainly on the universities teacher of general relation.

The followings are the result of the theoretical and the practical parts of the study: 1. The study clarify that the process of organizing traffic is based on connecting both the traffic police men and the general relation department work. 2. The relationship between the traffic police and the user of the road is the admiration of the law. 3. The image of the traffic police man is negative. 4. There is a crucial role for the general relation in supporting the image of the traffic police. 5. There is clear importance to conduct research and fieldwork by the general relation departments. 6. The importance of arranging training and workshops both the user of the roads and the traffic police members. 7. The study clarifies the importance of the mass media in the awareness of the user of the road.
