Abstract

This research presents economic essays published in www.Sudantribune.com. These essays interduces issues of Sudan economy since its independence and until this day. The first chapter is about the roots of Sudan conflicts during the colonial era. The second chapter discusses Sudan experience with EU, China, and Africa. Also, how China has got influence in Africa. Is China a development partner or a greedy trader? We know very well that China is one of the biggest allies of Sudan. Sudan was one of the first countries which supported China to join the United Nations as a member. Chinese people never forget that. The third chapter is about the partnership between Sudan and China particularly in agriculture. A conference was held in Friendship Hall about this partnership. It is a well-known fact that, agriculture is one of the most important resources in Sudan. Chapter four talks about the Sudanese Egyptian relations, Egypt always tries to ignore and disregard the important issues between the two countries and that causes crises and conflicts. Chapter five discusses the conflicts on the Nile River and what the Sudan strategic should be. Egypt only looks for its interests and tries to get most of the Nile water. The sixth chapter deals with about the first ten years since the announcement of the initiative of the Nile Basin. It also talks about the celebrations in Dar-Assalam, Tanzania after a decade of the announcement of the initiative. The author believes that if some of the policies of the initiative have been implemented seriously, the Nile basin and other African countries, which suffered a great deal for so long, will prosper.
