Abstract:
The aim of this research is to solve the problems and their role in the students' achievement of chemistry for the third grade in the secondary stage. The extent to which teachers are trained to use this method is known.
The researcher used the analytical method. The research community was (200) male and female teachers. A sample of (40) of them was selected.
The alpha-cronbach reliability factor was calculated by the SPSS program for statistical data processing. The method used to analyze this data is the frequency and percentages of the responses of the sample members as well as the arithmetic mean.
Results:-
1) Set up courses or workshops to train teachers on how to use problem solving and other teaching methods.
2) There are difficulties facing the chemistry teachers in the implementation of the method of solving problems, the most important of which: -
A) Evaluation methods used.
B) Lack of chemical devices and equipment
C) The wrong learning methods students have gained during their educational career.
Recommendations:
1) There is a need to use various teaching methods and interest in the way to solve problems, which proved effective in the achievement of students.
2) Re-printing the book of chemistry and adding colored drawings.
3) Provide modern means of teaching to keep pace with technology.
