Abstract:
This thesis discuses a specific aspect in the area of teaching Arabic for non-Arabic learners, namely phonetics and the bases for their evaluation in the teaching of this discipline. The research problem tries to answer the following question: what are the phonetics and the bases for their evaluation in the teaching programme of Arabic for non-Arabic learners, and the established methods pursued to introduce them in this programme. The study recommends strict adherence to the scientific and linguistic standards in selecting the phonetics for the teaching of this programme. Subsequently, symposiums and seminars should be convened around the teaching of phonetics to benefit from the ideas and expertise of the experts, and to improve the abilities and training of the teachers in the usage of modern educational techniques in the discipline of teaching Arabic for non- Arabic learners
