Abstract:
This study aimed to explore the relationship between social withdrawal and psychological stress among parents with mental disabilities in Special Needs Centers in Khartoum Locality. The study sample which consists of (115) parents has been selected randomly to purposive method of the study. The scales of social withdrawal and psychological stress have utilized to scale the levels of these factors. To conduct this study, Descriptive correlation method and used to analyze the data statistical package for social sciences (SPSS) using the following Tests: (T) Test for one sample, Pearson correlation Coefficient,(T) Test for two Samples are not equal, Test for Croscale Wells, The study result showed that the level of Social Withdrawal was average and the level of Psychological Stress was low. Moreover, There are statistically significant differences for the child gender in favor of males while there are no statistically significant differences that can be According to the gender of disability and disability classification. Also, there are also no statistically significant differences that can be According to the degree of disability. Furthermore, there are no statistically significant differences that can be attributed to the educational level of the father. However, there are statistically significant differences that can be According to the educational level of the mother in favor of Basic Level Education. Accordingly, the study recommended that parents’ awareness should be raised and their social and psychological problems should be solved. Finally, the study concluded with the sources and references.
