Abstract:
Oxygen gas is one of the products of the process of deep
cryogenic air separation and has many uses in medical and
industrial field, and the process of separation of air by withdrawal
of large amount of air, which is compressed, cooled and liquefied
during the process of air distillation. In this study is simulation of
the air separation unit to produce 160 m3/hr of oxygen gas at
pressure of 10 bar using Aspen Hysys program. A Sensitivity
Analysis test was performed for the air separation unit and found
the increase in pressure to increase the production rate and
increase the unit performance and increase in the reflux ratio
increases the purity of the product. The use of simulation
software and its application to the air separation unit contributes
to research and development of the air separation unit.
