Abstract Abstract Abstract
This research aims at knowing to what extend is the 'directive discovery' method effecting in increase the educational achievement in mathematics to the pupils of the six-basic class.
The researcher followed the experimental method, and the research was carried on sample of the pupils of the six-basic class, Khartoum locality, Shohada section, Jabra in math and their number was (38) students.
The 'directive discovery' was applied on the ratio unit, proportionality, the circle, six-class syllabus.
The researcher carried the research on an intentional group pupils (female), six class, the experimental group, their number was (19), were taught by the 'directive discovery' and the other group, the controlled group, their number was (19), were taught in a traditional method.
The two groups had the pre-test, to collect data the researcher used the post-test and the SPSS to analyze the data.
The researcher has reached to a number of results, the most important are:
1. There are statistical indication between the average degrees, the experimental group, which studied the ratio unit, proportionality and the circle, using the 'directive discovery' method and the average degrees of the controlled group, taught by the traditional method for the post-test at the low standard of knowledge to the favor of the experimental group.
2. There are statistical indication between the average degrees for the pupils of the experimental group and the average degrees for the pupils of the controlled group, for the post-test achievement, at the standard of memory to the favor of the experimental group.
ز
3. There are statistical indication between the average degrees for the pupils of the experimental and the average degrees for the pupils of the controlled group, for the post-test achievement, at the standard of application to the favor of the experimental group.
4. There were statistically significant differences between the average scores of the experimental group students and the average of the control group scores for the achievement test at the application level in favor of the experimental group.
The most important recommendations recommended by the researcher are:
1. To use the 'directive discovery' method teaching of mathematics, instead of traditional methods.
2. To Design modern curriculums develop them in order to use the 'directive discovery' method.
3. To follow Diversity in teaching by using traditional methods together with the modern methods like the 'discovery' method and others to achieve objectives of mathematics.
4. To train teachers use the 'directive discovery' method, by organizing a number of the training rounds for all of the educational stages.
