dc.description.abstract The aim of this research is to evaluate the mathematics textbook for the first secondary grade (evaluation study) from the perspective of teachers and supervisors. The researcher used the descriptive analytical method, where she designed a questionnaire addressed to teachers of mathematics at the secondary stage in the local east of the Nile state of Khartoum, and (55), and all the guides (9) and distributed the questionnaire randomly. The researcher used several statistical methods benefiting from the statistical analysis program (spss) to analyze the data and extract the percentage. The results of the research were as follows: The objectives of the mathematics textbook for the first grade of secondary are clear, measurable and suitable for the material, the content of the mathematics textbook for the first grade of the secondary is compatible with the mental abilities of students and suitable to achieve the objectives of the article, and the methods used in teaching mathematics for the first grade of secondary are feasible, and the existence of means Educational enough to teach mathematics for the first year of secondary school, but it was found that there is no modern educational means, methods of evaluation of the book of mathematics for the first year of secondary achieve the objectives of the article. Based on the findings of the researcher, the most important recommendations are: Work on the development of the content of the mathematics book for the first year of secondary school in order to maintain the objectives of the article, work to diversify the methods used in the teaching of mathematics to help students to absorb the material, provide educational means that help to understand Subject to the rapid development in this area, the use of means of continuous evaluation, increased emphasis on training teachers on modern teaching aids to raise their professional competence. en_US
