Abstract:
The objective of the study is to discover the impact of using mobile phone applications in the educational achievement of the Holy Quran for the first grade pupils in the basic education stage at both levels (memorization and understanding). To achieve the objectives of the study, the program of (Adnan the teacher of Quran) was used as pilot course. The study was applied on a sample of (27) students from those accepted at the first grade at the basic education stage at Algonied school for boys, Aljazeera province, Sudan during the summer camp for the academic year 2018/2019. The sample is divided into two equal groups. The experimental group consisted of (14) students whereas the controlled group consisted of (13) students. Data were analyzed using the statistical package for social sciences (SPSS) based on the variable quantity of averages attained by variance tests applied into the two independent groups (T test). Some of the most important results revealed that: There are statistically significant differences between the average scores of the experimental group using (mobile education application) and the average scores of the control group using (traditional education) in the postmeasurement of the achievement test at both levels (memorization and understanding). The study also offered some recommendations the most important of which is raising awareness of the importance of using mobile phones in education, designing and producing educational mobile phone applications that are compatible with the educational environment in order to enhance the educational process. The study also recommended proposals for future studies.
