Abstract

This study starts from the main goal revolving around the study of rhetorical methods in Arab proverbs as an applied study in the book the collections of proverbs by Abu Hilal Al-Askari. Where the rhetorical methods included a large area in Arab proverbs and the proverbs came including the style of Arabic rhetoric. The study required four chapters to be followed by a conclusion, in the first chapter I dealt with the basics of research and previous studies, then came the three chapters in which I simplified this topic, in the second chapter I dealt with the definition of Abu Hilal Al-Askari, his book the gathering of proverbs, and his approach in the book of the collection of proverbs, and as for the third chapter on proverbs, their definition and the difference between them and the other types of expression and the types of proverbs and their characteristics, and in the four chapter I tried to show the secret of the beauty of the rhetorical signs in them Arab proverbs, which were analyzed rhetorically, and thus I reached the conclusion in which I presented the most important findings.
