The research aims to know the audiovisual method and the communicative method in teaching Arabic to non-native speakers، and a comparison between the two methods of teaching Arabic language skills. The researcher relied on the descriptive method that describes the phenomenon accurately and qualitatively expresses it، and the problem of the study was to reveal the difference between the audio-oral method and the communicative method in teaching Arabic to non-native speakers. The study revealed that there is a difference between the two methods, there are skills used in the oral method and there are skills used in the communicative method. The study contains five chapters، with which the researcher came up with valuable results، the most important of which are: The use of the audio-oral method leads to the development of the skill of capturing the main and subsidiary ideas of the audio text, the use of the audio-oral method leads to Developing the skill of following up on speech and understanding the relationships between its aspects, using the audio-oral method leads to the development of the skill of extracting conclusions from among the topics the student hears, The researcher recommended a number of recommendations, the most important of which are: Preparing a study in the audio-oral method and employing it in teaching Arabic to non-native speakers, preparing a study in the communicative method and its role in teaching Arabic to non-native speakers, the teacher should clarify the relationship between language and culture and between language and society in teaching Arabic to non-native speakers.
