dc.description.abstractThis research is entitled: The problems that face the learner of Arabic language at the basic level in Zanzibar. And it aims at: Revealing the lingual and educational problems which face the learner of Arabic language. Revealing the problems and obstructions that face the teachers so as to realize the objectives of teaching the Arabic language at the basic level school in Zanzibar. Knowing the problems of the Arabic language currculum at the basic level school. Presenting proposed solutions of these obstructions. The researcher used the descriptive analytically method to make the study; he also used the questionnaire to glean field information related to it. The results of the study proved the veracity of the research hypotheses which are: There are sound and lingual problems that face the learner of Arabic language at the basic level in Zanzibar. There are educational problems related to the teacher because there is no guide to him. There are educational problems related to the pupils as a result of lack of encouragement from the family for learning. There are educational problems related to the school environment and the community because the educational environment is not conducive to developing the language skills of the students. Some of the important recommendations are: Paying good care to developing the curriculum of learning Arabic language at the basic level in Zanzibar. Holding course to train the teachers and increasing their financial allowances. Encouraging the students to speak in Arabic in and outside the class room.en_US
