The subject of this study is the issues of grammatical causality as seen by Burhan-al-Deen Ibn-al-Quayyim in his book (Irshad Al- Salik Ela Hal Alfiat- Ibn Malik "Guide to Explanation of Ibn Malik̓̓̓̓̓’s Thousand Verses on Arabic Grammar"). I have sought to enumerate the grammatical causes according to the author, and to classify them into chapters as required by the taught subject. Before discussing the study' score, I have discussed the grammatical issues that relate to grammatical causality, such as the definition of the cause, its origination and the scholars’stances towards causality and analogy, besides the author’s opinion as the same. The study is divided into five chapters, plus a conclusion, and general technical indexes. The first chapter tackled the basic issues of the study and a bibliography. The second chapter includes the biography of the author namely, his birth, his early life, his scientific life and his death; besides introducing his book as regards the methodology that it’s author adoptedin writing it, the quotations he used, evidence, his options and his stances towards Ibn Malik’s grammatical choices. The third chapter is an explanation of the concept of causality both in lexis and in grammatical technical terminology; besides an explanation of the relation between cause and causality as seen by Grammarians and the stages witnessed by grammatical causality from its origination until it became stable and well established. This chapter also shows the most outstanding classification of the kinds of grammatical causes asseenby grammarians, and the different stancesof early and recent grammarians towards causality. The fourth chapter shows Ibn Al-Qayyim’s attitude towards grammatical analogy; the divisions of grammatical causality, its types and the cores of multiple causes. Here also we have discussed the features of grammatical causes as seen by the author and types of them he used in his book. The fifth chapter details the sources of grammatical causality as detailed by him. The study then investigates the causes related to noun-both inflective and uninflective, and those related verbs, both – inflective and uninflective in addition to causes related to the different types. The conclusion is including the findings and recommendations. The study also includes, at the end, general technical indexes.en_US
