Abstract

This study concerns with seven collections of poems known as (Mualagat alsabaa). it comprises of six chapters preceded by research preliminaries. Chapter one concerned in its first section with definitions whereas the second accounted for period, documentation, names and some controversial issues about the poems. Chapter two comprises seven sections, each one represent an autobiography of poet. This is followed by the third chapter which is syntax. It comprises of three sections. Definition of sentence and difference between sentence and speech is examined in section one in this chapter one in this where as section two examined part of sentences and section three investigated sentence order i.e. verb, subject and object. Chapter four which is about verb definition consists of four sections the first defines verbs in general ; the second defines past form of the verb, the third about imperative form and the fourth about present form. The practical aspect came in the fifth chapter as samples of verbal sentences. Thus the chapter divided into three sections, the first is about sentences that begin with past verbs, the second is about verbal sentences that begins in an imperative form. And the third is about sentence that starts with present verbs. Chapter six examines the poets opinions about poetic purposes in verbal sentences in these poems. In addition to the exact number of sentences. Finally conclusions are stated including: summary, findings, recommendations in addition to bibliography.
