Abstract: The problem addressed by this research lies in searching for answer to that question: What is the effect of the direct method at teaching skill of speaking? The aim of the researcher to investigate the impact of the direct method as an independent variable (speaking skill) on the dependent variable when teaching Arabic language to non-native speakers so as to reach practical recommendation to facilitate the process of teaching and learning Arabic language . The researcher divided the research to five chapters: Chapter one: includes the basic of the research, while chapter two has dealt with the theoretical framework and the previous studies. The third chapter has tacked the field survey procedure. In the fourth chapter the researcher has presented the discussion and analysis of the data results. Findings, recommendation and suggestions. Finally the researcher displayed the list of references and appendices. The researcher came out to several conclusion, including the following: 1. The direct method has an effective impact in teaching the skill of speaking. 2. The students address some difficulties as they are studying skills of speaking. 3. Teaching skill of speaking through natural cases or simulators help its development. 4. Measurement modes predominantly traditional and need renewal and development.
