| Abstract: | The research dealt with the role of university radio stations in developing the extra-curricular skills of the university student "An applied descriptive study on the University of Africa Radio". The problem of the study lies in the fact that the media colleges suffer a lot from the student's applied side, which reflected negatively on the student after graduating from that college, where the media student has been frequenting many media outlets to refine the theoretical side with the applied. The study aimed to identify the reality of university radio broadcasts and their communication activities, and to identify the extent to which university radio broadcasts contribute to developing the extra-curricular skills of the university student, as well as developing a theoretical framework that seeks to create a state of congruence about the nature of community services provided by university radio. The study followed the descriptive, analytical, in-depth approach, in which the scientific researcher describes various scientific phenomena and problems, and solves problems and questions that fall within the circle of scientific research. Among the most important results of the study at the University of Africa Radio, a group of programs with different and varied languages contributed to building extra-curricular skills for the student. Program controls are available that are in line with the general line of the university, which contributed to supporting the content of the radio material. In light of the results presented, the research recommends taking into account the determination of the proportions of programs and their goals before broadcasting by the broadcasting organization, the appointment of specialized cadres in developing the extra-curricular skills of the student in the radio assisted in the training process for the student, and the need to work continuously to develop technical and technical tools commensurate with the radio . |
