dc.description.abstract ABSTRACT This research has addressed the effectiveness of the pivotal text in teaching of the Arabic Language skills for its non-native speakers. It aims to identify that effectiveness in skills teaching in order to find a modern method enabling the acquisition of skill in an integrated manner ,and also it aims to discover the difficulties faced by the teacher and to preclude the implementation of pivotal text in teaching of kills as well. The importance of the this research came from shedding light on the latest teaching methods of language skill for the speakers of other languages , and being a research contribution that helps teachers in performing their teaching tasks , and coping with the modern scientific progress. This research has come as a solution to the problem of skills teaching through the traditional method , while trying to find a modern method in teaching of skills through a pivotal text . It has addressed a definition of pivotal text around which various language skills revile. The researcher has also has given a note on past and present teaching methods and the importance of the teaching aids in making the teaching process a success, while strengthening her words by what brings that success. The researcher has used the descriptive approach since it is most suitable nature of this study, and has recruited in collecting data many research tools such as tests , interviews and direct observation , in order to reach to satisfactory finding. Indeed the researcher reached -at the end- to some findings that serve the objectives of the study, through the opinions of experts and teachers and the evaluation tests of learners supported by the field work. The most important findings of the study that support and emphasize the effectiveness of the pivotal text in teaching of language skills as follows: • The relationship between the language skills is a close and integral relationship, since every skill derives its strength and existence from the other skills. • The teaching of Arabic language according to the principle of integration of skills saves them from segmentation that distracts the mind of learners and makes them neglect some skills and dislike for some other skills. The researcher has recommended the use of the suitable method in Arabic language teaching for its non-native speakers and following the integrative approach in teaching of language skills, and concerning about the evaluation results of all language skills so as to bring a good return of all the integrated skills. The researcher has suggested some opinions depending on some previous studies to fill gaps, hoping them to be some good keys to those who wish to make research in the teaching of skills in future. Finally, the researcher hopes to conduct more researches that contribute to handle many problems of Arabic language teaching for its non-native speakers, in order to encourage learners and to enrich the Arabic and Islamic libraries, in addition to knowledge - Allah willing.
