dc.description.abstract This theses aims to identify standards to develop graduate studies' programs for faculties of education in Yemeni Universities in the light of the international quality standards, and identify realities as well as the level o which each standard is available; this would be presented through answering the following question: 1- What is the reality of the graduate studies' programs in faculties of education in Yemeni Universities? 2- What are the Total Quality Standards through which graduate studies' programs could be improved in the faculties of education in Yemeni Universities? 3-What is the availability and extent in which each standard of quality could be applied to develop graduate studies' programs according to the administrative bodies' point of view as well as the students of the graduate studies in faculties of education in Yemeni Universities? 4-What is the suggested view to develop graduate studies' programs in faculties of education in Yemeni Universities in the light of Total Quality Standards? In order to answer all these questions, the researcher adopted the descriptive approach with its screening, improving and developing types; the descriptive screening approach to diagnose the reality of graduate studies' programs and figure out the Total Quality Standards through which the graduate studies' programs could be developed in addition to Identify the availability of each standard of which in the current programs according to both the administrative bodies and the students points of views. Furthermore, the researcher used the descriptive developmental improving approach so as to construct the suggested view to develop graduate studies' program for the faculties of education in Yemeni Universities in the light of the Total Quality Standard which can achieve constant improvement in graduate studies' programs. So as to collect the data and information related to this topic, a questionnaire that consisted of (74) indicators was used. They were distributed into (9) main standards which were applied on a sample from both the administrative bodies and the students; they reached (151) individual and presented as (50%); (62) of them were administrative bodies, and (89) were students of graduate studies; they were chosen randomly. Thereafter, the data were collected and analyzed through appropriate statistical methods (Standard Deviation, SMA, Centennial weight response average, Cronch's alpha formula and Pearson correlation coefficient) through (SPSS). The researcher reached the following: 1. There are so much rapprochement between students' evaluation and the administrative bodies' evaluation of the reality of graduate studies' programs; whereas (70%) and (69%) of them stated that the currents programs presented were so weak. 2- More than (61%) from the sample were not satisfied with the programs presented by graduate study in the faculty of education in Sana'a University; these means (54.84%) of the administrative bodies included and (66.3%) of the students as well; only (36.42%) were showed satisfaction toward the current programs. 3. The weakness points mentioned by the sample's individuals have not been concentrated on a specific program, but it represents the whole program. 4. The whole standards gained weak availability rate, the arithmetic mean reached (2, 56) respectively equal, whereas the standards deviation has reached (0.61%) which means so much rapprochement between individuals' evaluations. According to the results obtained, the suggested view was prepared to develop graduate studies' programs for the faculties of education in Yemeni Universities in the light of Total Quality Standards as follows: - The objectives of the suggested view (15) goals. - The basis of the suggested view (24) basis. - The sources of the suggested view (8) source. - The standards of the suggested view (9) standards. - The mechanisms of the suggested view (7) mechanisms. -The levels of constructing the suggested view (4) levels. The researcher has reached many conclusions, recommendations and suggestions which are necessary to apply the suggested view. en_US
