Abstract

The study aimed to develop a proposed program for the development of administrative performance in light of the entrance of knowledge management at Sana'a University. This is done by identifying the extent to which the concept of knowledge management and its importance is realized. It also investigates the extent to which organizational processes of knowledge management are implemented, in addition to knowledge of the obstacles facing the implementation of knowledge management at Sana'a University, from the point of view of the administrative and academic leaders (the deans of the colleges and their deputies, the directors of the general and directors of departments and their assistants). The researcher also sought to provide a theoretical background on performance management, and knowledge management in General, and especially knowledge management at the University of Sana'a, about the reality of management performance by Sana'a University, this was the entrance to the field study is a collection of questions raised by the researcher to determine the study views, follow the descriptive analytical researcher to achieve the objectives of the study, the researcher has adopted the questionnaire as a tool to collect data using a survey method to study society, which are all administrative and Academic commands at Sana'a University, which represented the deans and their deputies, Directors and General directors and their assistants, where numbered (348), the questionnaire included (57) paragraph spread over (3) themes, and (6) areas. The study had the following results: The leadership (administrative and academic) agreed for the importance of all the axes of the proposed programme to develop management performance in light of knowledge management portal with all its components, and its paragraph surpassing the specified acceptance test by (2.61). Leaders agreed (academic and administrative)for all themes in a medium importance degree, with an average total account (3.18), arithmetic mean low achieved marks of (2.59). Except of the themes (obstacles for applying knowledge management) was achieved and moderately, arithmetic mean of (3.20). commands agreed (administrative and academic) on the themes (understanding of the concept and the importance of knowledge management) degree of medium importance, arithmetic mean total (3.20) and low achievement degree with arithmetic mean of (2.32). Leaders agreed (administrative and academic) on the themes (organizational processes of knowledge management) with a medium degree of importance, arithmetic mean total (3.16) and achievement degree low, average total account (2.27). Proposed program was built to develop management performance in light of knowledge management portal at Sana'a University. The study recommended the following: adopt program proposed by commands of Sana'a University to apply within the University. The need to develop a strategic vision for the University on scientific basis, taking into account the mission and function, so that knowledge management is benchmarks of enlightenment in college. Activation of the knowledge management in administrative work, such as making decisions and improve internal processes. The need for training of academic and administrative leaders in Sana'a University program that came out of this study and measure its impact. Work to overcome obstacles and difficulties of applying knowledge management in the University in a scientific manner.
