dc.description.abstract This is a research titled: The grammatical directives of Muhammad ibn Abi Jumaa al-Hibti in his book: "Restriction of Pause (Stop) in the Qura'an", a descriptive and analytical study. It aims at showing the scientific position of Muhammad ibn Abi Jumaa al-Hibti and showing his choices for Qur’anic Stop and their positions at the scholars of the Stop and the Start and showing his grammatical directions. The research includes an introduction , five chapters and a conclusion followed by general scientific indexes. The first chapter is entitled: Fundamentals of Research, then chapter two, which is specialized in previous studies, then Chapter three, which mentions the life of Imam al-Hibti, and a brief about his book (Restriction of the Pause (Stop) in the Holy Quran) and its methodology in Stop (Waqf) and the position of scholars of this methodology , Then the fourth chapter, which represents the theoretical study of the Stop and the Start, that was entitled : “The Quranic Stop, study in the concept and term” and then chapter five is the competent study applied grammatical guidelines for the choices of Imam al-Hibti in his book. And the search most important results are: 1 – Most of stops of the Imam al-Hibti proved his linguistic insight, and his broadness in the science of interpretation, and established foot in grammar. 2 - Adoption in the methodology of the Stop (waqf) on the expression and meaning, and did not tend to say the stop on top of the ayat, which was clear for those who see his choices in stop (Waqf). 3 - Most of his stop (waqf) choices belong to the total stop, in which no post is attached to grammatical function or meaning. 4. Al-Hibtai sometimes prefers the use of hidden expression, making him liable to charge with affectedness and arbitrariness. en_US
