Abstract

The aim of this research is to determine the optimum use of information technology, to impact the performance of companies, as well as the extent of the impact of the use of scientific methods of technology in achieving competitive advantage for companies, and also to highlight the role that could be played by information technology in the promotion of creative business opportunities for companies. The problem of the research lied; in that information technology in some contemporary companies have become under the level of ambition, this may be due to lack of familiarity of these companies with the importance of the role of information technology and its impact on the fundamental organizational creativity. The hypotheses of the research were that; the optimal employment of information technology, leads to the development of the performance of companies, as well as that, the use of scientific methods in information technology achieves a competitive advantage for companies, and also the use of information technology contributes to the promotion of creative business opportunities for companies. The research adopted the historical analytical descriptive methodology and the approach of the case study. The research reached to a number of findings.The most important are; the optimum employment of information technology contributes to development and improvement of the performance of companies, as well as information technology has a leading role in achieving competitive advantage for companies, and also the use of scientific methods in information technology encourages creativity and development. The research suggested a number of recommendations, the most important; companies need to pay attention to using modern scientific information technology to improve their products and develop their operations methods , they need to pay attention to innovation organization being the main engine for the activities of the company, and also the establishment of an integrated information system ,to provide information ,in a timely manner, whether within the company or outside.
