Abstract

This study aimed at identifying the concepts of risk and risk management tools and standards, and to identify the risks custom of a special nature customs work and to identify the most important problems facing the Customs Department in the application of the foundations and rules of risk management, and then propose solutions suitable for activating the role of risk management. Pursued a researcher in this study the analytical descriptive method was used-resolution tool for data collection, l such as community study employed Customs Department Khartoum various ranks have been taking a random sample of this community included the total of 100 workers, representing about 7% of the population of the study which is suitable based on your surveys where the sample size between (5-20%). The study found the results of the most important that there is enough I have a working familiarity with Sudanese customs risk management tasks, while there is sufficient familiarity with the senior management of the functions of risk management, customs procedures increase speed after the establishment of risk management, said the smuggling operations after the establishment of customs risk management, administration faces risks of many of the problems that stand in the way the performance of its functions. In light of these results, the researcher developed some recommendations which the preparation of programs for workers on the concepts of risk management and its importance in the work of customs as well as to make more of an effort to activate the role of risk management, develop a training program appropriate by specialists and follow up its implementation on all the work force accurately, emphasizing the need to increase speed of customs procedures through the activation of the menu system to suppliers and golden color lanes for passengers at airports through time-bound plan, support systems, communication and information flow.
