Abstract: The topic of the research is the role of media in achieving the objectives of public relations in social institutions, descriptive and analytical study applied to the organization of the affairs of Sudanese abroad in the period 2013-2015. The objectives of the research are to reach the role of the media in the field of public relations to achieve the desired goal, and the functions of public relations management of the institution to create a good image in the minds of the public through these media, and verify how to use communication in public relations activities to improve the image of the institution in the minds of the community , And to acknowledge the services which are provided by the Department of Public Relations for the community ,The student used the descriptive curriculum and method of analysis to explain the phenomenon of research. The research has been divided into four chapter first chapter contain methodology of research, the second chapter on the fundamentals and the foundations of the media, the third chapter on the reality and fundamentals of the media from the perspective of public relations and the fourth chapter which is the last one that represents the field study, and the conclusion which includes the results, Sources of study and references). The study revealed that the Department of Public Relations in the affairs of Sudanese abroad seeks to regulate communication with organization and it revealed that Department of Public Relations working promoting objectives of the institution and its activities The study showed that the Public Relations Department seeks to obtain the trust of the public through the services.
